Winter annual grass control and crop safety in quizalofop‐resistant wheat cultivars

چکیده
Abstract Winter annual grass species such as jointed goatgrass ( Aegilops cylindrica Host), downy brome Bromus tectorum L.), and feral rye Secale cereale L.) negatively affect winter wheat Triticum aestivum yields. To generate a novel in‐crop selective herbicide trait for control, mutagenesis was used to multiple lines resistant the acetyl co‐A carboxylase (ACCase) inhibitor quizalofop p‐ethyl (QPE). Field trials were performed assess crop safety with one or two homoeologous mutations control QPE treatments. Crop parameters including visual injury rating, plant height, grain yield, kernel weight evaluated following treatment at growth stages. The susceptible cultivar Hatcher displayed 100% when treated tillering in early spring jointing late spring. Single‐gene generally had yield loss, especially application timing. two‐mutation cultivars Incline AX LCS Fusion low no loss from applications all timings high rate (93 185 g ha −1 ) either fall Control of highest (92–99%), while ranged 73% 93 a.i. 98% 109 QPE. Our data indicate that targeted weeds are controlled by rates have acceptable QPE‐resistant cultivars.

Vernalisation Response of Some Winter Wheat Cultivars (Triticum aestivum L.)
For 17 cultivars of winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) different vernalisation and photoperiod responses were detected. The effect of photoperiod sensitivity was not significantly changed by vernalisation; different vernalisation responses were probably due to the presence of multiple alleles at Vrn loci. The delay in heading depended on the vernalisation deficit exponentially: y = parameter (...

The objective of the paper was to illustrate using and usefulness of a joint AMMI and cluster analyses to assess the grain yield adaptive response of Polish and foreign 31 winter wheat cultivars in a range of 20 environments (locations) and across 3 years (2005-2007) under integrated crop management, using data obtained in the post-registration variety testing trials (called PDO trials), to ide...
متن کاملFlowering time control in European winter wheat
Flowering time is an important trait in wheat breeding as it affects adaptation and yield potential. The aim of this study was to investigate the genetic architecture of flowering time in European winter bread wheat cultivars. To this end a population of 410 winter wheat varieties was evaluated in multi-location field trials and genotyped by a genotyping-by-sequencing approach and candidate gen...
